Do you ever play the game whereby you imagine what you would do if you had loads of money to spend? I do it a lot. It’s a game I play because it certainly isn’t a reality and having spare money and children and a mortgage means it is likely to remain a dream for a few years to come! So anyway, I imagine what it would be like to have lots of disposable money and what I would spend it on. Being interested in fashion and footwear I would obviously buy some lovely clothes and shoes but one brand of footwear that would certainly benefit from my extra cash would have to be Converse.
I already own a couple of pairs of
Converse pumps, I prefer the low sneakers to the high-tops but I love the huge range of colours they come in and can spot Converse on people a mile off. I have some in red and navy blue as well as some Low Ox’s in grey which are nicely plain and simple but have a double tongue to give them a bit of pizzaz and to set them apart from other styles. I would have many more pairs if I had more money and this is why I think I would gladly spend any extra money on more styles.
I am particularly loving the new Jack Purcell style called Helen and the Lady All Star ones from the Chuck Taylor All Star range. Both are all white and slimmer than the standard ranges which is particularly flattering for women’s feet and for the whole silhouette. It’s also quite nice that there are specific ranges that are produced exclusively for women though the whole unisex concept for sneakers in general is also cool and it’s great that they are mostly open to anyone to wear.
So, I would be splashing the cash by stocking up on Converse sneakers and I would then need to make sure I had plenty of pairs of jeans to wear them with too. But though I know it would be easy to spend money on shoes it is actually really nice to work hard for your money because it makes buying things you’ve always wanted so much more satisfying. So though I would ultimately make a bee line for the Converse range of footwear, I think it’s also quite nice to have a wish list as long as my arm for styles I would like to have.
